Lasell College Holds 158th Commencement May 14, 2012Lasell College held its 158th commencement exercises Sunday, granting 354 Baccalaureate degrees and 78 Master’s degrees, before an audience packed with family, friends, and members of the Lasell community. The Class of 2012 marked the largest group of graduates in Lasell College history.

- Lasell Fashion Students Honored at French Cultural Center’s La Fashion Soirée May 2, 2012Every spring, the team behind Boston Fashion Week focuses on the many students graduating from fashion design programs in the greater Boston area. On April 17, the French Cultural Center hosted a reception showcasing the work of several student designers – including three from Lasell.
Lasell’s Steve Bloom Discusses “Long Day’s Journey into Night” at New Rep Theater May 2, 2012Steve Bloom, Lasell’s Associate VP for Academic Affairs and Dean of Undergraduate Education, is also one of the area’s preeminent Eugene O’Neill scholars. In April he wore his scholarly hat when he discussed one of O’Neill’s most famous works, "Long Day’s Journey into Night," as a panelist at the New Rep Theater in Watertown on April 15, at 7 pm.
Lasell Fashion Students Rock the Runway April 30, 2012It takes almost a year for Lasell fashion design students to draw, source, sew, create and fit their senior collections all for one final shining moment – the annual Runway Fashion Show each spring. The 2012 rendition of this event took place April 27 and 28 with the Undergraduate fashion show on Friday night while the seniors showcased their collections in Runway 2012 on Saturday.Spring Symposium a Showcase for Student Work, Projects April 30, 2012Lasell’s Spring 2012 Connected Learning Symposium concluded April 28 after a week full of student poster sessions, presentations, art and fashion displays, and a mock trial. Musical performances and the annual Runway Fashion Show were also a part of the multi-day event.
