Braun Writing Awards

The Ruth Paetz Braun Undergraduate Connected Learning Awards Program at Lasell College is made possible through the generous support of Ruth Paetz Braun, class of 1954, in honor of her 50th reunion from Lasell College. The purpose of this program is to support annual writing and/or oral presentation awards for undergraduate students in conjunction with the College's annual Connected Learning Symposium April of each year. $100 prizes are awarded for student writing assisgnments in the following categories:

  • A paper written for an assignment in a 100 level course
  • A paper written for an assignment in a 200 or 300 level course
  • A paper written for an assignment in a 400 level course
  • Creative Prose

The winners are selected by a committee of faculty and announced in a special session of the Lasell College Spring Connected Learning Symposium where they read short passages and describe the experience of writing their papers.

The 10th annual award ceremony was held on April 30, 2015. Winners included:

  • Samantha Guarnieri - 100 level
  • Molly Pierson - 200/300 level
  • Rebeca Bissonnette - 400 level
  • Michaela Ferro - 400 level
  • Matt Bogorad - Creative Prose

Lasell Introduces Cross-Registration Program with Regis College, Expanding on Courses Offered  Monday, March 30, 2015Lasell College will begin a cross-registration program with Regis College this Fall, enabling undergraduate students to enroll in additional courses there at no additional cost. Lasell students will be able to add selected Regis courses to their Lasell schedule starting with pre-registration this April.
