Karen CirielloMaster of Science in Management, Management Concentration

"I've known for years that if I wanted to advance my career, I needed a master's degree. But I work full-time at an air-quality testing firm, and I also have four kids. Needless to say, my life is pretty busy-and I kept putting it off and putting it off. "I found out about Lasell's master's in management and it sounded like the perfect program. I didn't need to take the GMAT-which was great. At this point in my life, with all my experience, I felt like I didn't need a test to qualify me.

"Enrolling at Lasell has been a great decision. I love the school, I love the small classes, I love the location-and the professors are phenomenal. My favorite course so far has been Operations Management with Gerry Pineault. I thought it was going to be pretty dry, but he was so enthusiastic that it ended up being a really fun course. Going back to school has worked out at home too: my kids are getting older; they range from 21 to 13, so my life is becoming a little easier. It's been a great thing for them to see me study.

"I'm hoping that once I'm done, this degree will help me move up a level in my career. In the meantime, I'm bringing things back to my job every week that I can use. Everything I've learned so far is so relevant - it's helping me pull things together at work and is making for some pretty enlightening discussions in class."

What Karen wants you to know about Lasell's graduate program:
"Going back to school is not as difficult as you think. Lasell makes it so convenient, with online and hybrid courses, and the professors are terrific. The master's in management is such a great program. It's worked well for me, and I definitely recommend it."
