Exercise Science and Athletic Training Programs Accredited

September 17, 2012

The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) voted this summer to award initial accreditation for five years to the Exercise Science Program at Lasell College. In addition, the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) voted to award continuing accreditation to the Lasell College Athletic Training Program.

The accreditation of the Exercise Science Program makes Lasell one of the first colleges to meet a newly instituted form of national accreditation by the Committee on Accreditation for the Exercise Sciences (CoAES) and CAAHEP.

The Athletic Training Program received 10-year continuing accreditation status - the highest accreditation status granted to an institution.
