Exhibit Celebrates History of Lasell College

In honor of Lasell College's Founders Day on November 13, the Wedeman Gallery will host an exhibit of artifacts that highlight the institution's history and founding.

The exhibit, called Passing the Torch, is open November 5 -16, with a reception November 8 for students, faculty and staff between 12:30-2:00 pm. Wedeman Gallery is located at the Yamawaki Art & Cultural Center on Myrtle Ave.

The exhibit will showcase items from the Winslow Archives, including photographs of fashion shows from the 1930's and 1940's, a May Queen gown, a uniform from Lasell Seminary's military program, athletic trophies and memorabilia from the late 19th and early 20th centuries and a handwritten student registration book from 1899, among other objects.

The exhibit is open to the public Monday - Thursday from 1 -4 pm through November 16.

The online program launches in Fall 2015.
