Lasell’s Wedeman Gallery to Host Recent Works by Newton Artist Lois Tarlow

March 15, 2013

Newton artist Lois Tarlow, well known in Boston art circles for her paintings ranging from the objective to conceptual, will exhibit recent works in a solo show at Lasell College's Wedeman Gallery running from March 28 to April 19.

An opening reception for Tarlow's exhibit, [excerpts], will be held Saturday, March 30 from 5 to 7 pm. Gallery hours are Tuesday - Friday 1 to 4 pm. The exhibit is open to the public free of charge.

Tarlow's exhibit, [excerpts], will consist of recent mixed media works on paper with acrylics, ink, and collage.

"My work most often responds to the natural world," says Tarlow in a statement about her work. "A vague vision comes in answer to words, a phrase, or a poem."

A graduate of Goucher College, throughout her career Tarlow has held solo shows at a variety of New England galleries and museums including the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln, Mass, the Danforth Museum in Framingham, Mass. and the Fuller Museum of Art in Brockton, Mass.
