James Garrant has been the Director of Student Accounts with Lasell College since June 2014 after holding similar positions over the years at three nearby colleges.

What does your job as Director of Student Accounts primarily entail?

"The Lasell College Office of Students Accounts is responsible for providing our students and their families’ accurate and timely billing and payment information and guidance regarding payment of educational costs. Our office issues billing statements and collects payments for tuition, housing, meal plans and any other applicable fees. Student Accounts is available to provide information about the best ways to finance your education. We offer payment plan information, assists students with enrollment in the school-sponsored health insurance plan, transfer credit balances to the Bookstore or Laser Loot accounts, and issues refund checks.

Whether or not you receive financial aid, we are here to help families by providing options and solutions to pay for college. We encourage you to read the information on this site regarding the Student Accounts Office and the services we provide."

What is the most important advice you can give students to ensure a smooth transition during their college years?

"Students should be aware of and involved in the financial standing of their student account. Each semester they should take note of and confirm that their student account is paid by the due date to avoid any issues with their registration, housing and enrollment status. Students may monitor their accounts via MyLasell Self Service for real time updates regarding payments, aid and charges."
