Graduate Assistant Athletic Communications Coordinator

Position Description:

This position will work directly with the Director of Athletic Communications to provide increased publicity, media and promotional coverage of the athletic program's 17 varsity sports.

  • Assist with the coordination of home event management.
  • Assist with video production and web streaming.
  • Provide in-game stat keeping.
  • Assist with keeping statistical records and archives up to date.
  • Assist with writing press releases and game recaps.
  • Additional duties will also include assisting with the coordination of department wide events.  
  • Assist with all marketing and promotional efforts focusing on increasing the visibility of the student-athletes throughout campus and the surrounding community. 

Required qualifications and skills:

Bachelor's degree required preferably in Sport Management, Communications, Marketing or related field, but other degrees will be considered. Ability to work nights and weekends.  Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred experience with Presto Sports, In-Design, Photoshop, NCAA Live Stats and Stretch.
