March 6th, the Michal Longe ’95 School of Business at Lasell University hosted the 6th annual School of Business Day, with experts discussing the challenges and opportunities of using Artificial Intelligence in a variety of business sectors.

The day featured six back-to-back sessions including programs that highlighted how entrepreneurs can launch a new business using AI tools, applications for AI in Hospitality and in the world of sports, the intersection of AI and HR, the ethical implications of AI in business, and data analytics and the rise of AI. The keynote address was given by Kurt Zwald, Senior Director, Research, Insights & Analytics at the Boston Red Sox who emphasized the data-driven decisions being made every day at Fenway Park.

“Longe School of Business Day is a flagship event for our school, focusing on business education, networking, and professional development,” said Matthew Reilly, Ed.D., Director of Academic Partnerships and Chair of the Business and Sport Management Programs. “Today’s conference had an overarching theme of artificial intelligence in business, which is a trending conversation in higher education, as well as on social media and in popular culture. Our students were captivated by our incredible group of speakers, and we look forward to continuing the AI conversation in the classroom.”
