Roslyn Rowell Levesque (above) died on April 12, 2020, in Port St. Lucie, Florida, at the age of 88. Born in Dover, New Hampshire, on Dec. 28, 1931, she graduated from Lasell in 1952 with a degree in interior decorating. Roslyn often spoke fondly of her days as a student at Lasell, where she made lifelong friends and had the opportunity to sing with the Boston Pops. Upon graduation she briefly worked in Boston before settling in Sanford, Maine, where she raised her two daughters. She taught in the Sanford Public Schools and at Holy Family School. In retirement, Roslyn worked at an optometrist’s office for 13 years. She will be remembered as a loving mother, cherished Nana, and “Roz” to many. She is survived by her two daughters, Lynda Brown and her husband, Mark, and Lorna Boudwin and her husband, Leslie; and her granddaughter, Brittney Boudwin.
Terry Wingate Machette reports that she is still in touch with classmates 70 years after graduating from Lasell. She talks regularly with Virginia Snedaker Marschall and has also spoken with Joeyna Raynal Rearwin, who is in contact with Missy Paulmier Hazell. She writes, “I’m sure there are others out there who are hitting 90 this year and I hope are enjoying life. It would be great fun to hear from them.” Terry has lived near Long Island Sound in Connecticut for many years and still enjoys going to the beach.

Shirley Gibbons San Soucie (Class Secretary)
Dorothy “Dot” Day Bardarson reports that life in Alaska is wonderful. She recently finished another mural for the City of Seward. During the summer tourist season, Dot’s art is on display at many exhibit spaces and she fills many orders for prints from her website (www. bardarsonstudio.com). She also enjoys Ukulele Night on Tuesday, likes to garden, and is writing a non-fiction book.
Lillian Medhurst Meiggs is the last living member of the original group of charter members who moved into the Ardenwoods Retirement Community in North Carolina from 1998 through 2004. She writes, “A recent prospective couple asked me, ‘Do you like it here?’ I thought that was pretty funny. Funnier still, they have already moved in! The mountains around here are beautiful and some winters we have heavy snow like New England. Blessings to all.”
Shirley Vara Gallerani spent the winter months in Naples, Florida, and enjoyed an alumni lunch with President Michael B. Alexander. She gets together with good friend Mary Ann Donahue once or twice every summer. Louise “Weezie” Turner P’74 occasionally joins them. Shirley and Mary Ann are members of the Lasell Board of Overseers and enjoy attending meetings on campus. Shirley has four great-grandchildren. She writes, “A growing family keeps one young, I am convinced. My four children are busy raising their families, and I am so blessed that I see them often.”

Bobbie Jennings (Class Secretary)
Bobbie Jennings can still recall the songs the Class of 1955 sang with her and her ukulele in Bragdon’s “smoker,” and reports that she and her ukulele still lead the residents in her retirement community in song — almost 70 years later.
Donna Williams O’Connor plays golf weekly and walks for 30 minutes three times a week “except,” she adds, “when the temp reaches 90!”
Lucille Marden Randall reports that she has moved to a senior living community and takes part in many activities offered there. She is active with the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoys attending the activities of her grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She writes, “I’m enjoying my healthy life.”
Audrey Silver Rogers P’78 participates in water aerobics five days a week. When not in the water or reading, she and her husband maintain a small animal sanctuary in their yard with birds, squirrels, chipmunks, turkeys, and foxes. Audrey and her husband have written a book about their lives that will be passed down to their grandchildren as a present at Christmas. Audrey is still in touch with Sue Sherrill Seggel, who lived in Bragdon’s “Heaven” during freshman year but left Lasell to get married. Sue recently wondered whether Bragdon is still a Lasell residence hall. The answer, sadly, is no. But, oh, the memories linger.
Joan Murano Swanson and Bobbie Jennings correspond the old-fashioned way — through letters — much to Bobbie’s delight, as it is her major hobby these days. Joan recently wrote that her new computer, Kindle, and iPhone are quite a challenge. Bobbie wonders how many of us 87-year-olds can even manage our old technology!
1956
Margaret Schwingel Kraft (Class Secretary)
Judith Metcalf Daniels resides at Coventry Living in Keene, New Hampshire. She writes, “I love all that it has to offer. It’s a great choice for independent living and future care.” Judith keeps in touch with Carol Corning Richard P’83, who is also doing well.
Ann Pasquale Kibort spent a month in Venice, Italy. Her daughters joined her for a week. She writes, “I hope to return again soon.”
Pat Hayes Schoeller writes that she’s “still living in the Pocono Mountains, teaching skiing in the winter, and playing really bad golf in the summer. I’m not certain how much longer I’ll be skiing, let alone teaching, but I still enjoy it.” She would love to hear from anyone who visits the area.
Gail Frank Wells checked in to let us know how much she enjoyed seeing her friends on the cover of the fall 2021 issue of Leaves featuring Lasell’s Victorian homes. She writes, “It brought back so many happy memories from the Class of 1956.”
1957
Carol Braun Wissert passed away peacefully in May, according to close friend Nancy Riker. Nancy and her family cared for Carol toward the end of her life. Carol babysat for Nancy when she was a child and recalled that she had many friends from the Class of 1957.
1958
Mary Ann Fuller Young reports that she “dusted off her wings” in October and took a Hollywood and Pacific Riviera cruise that included day trips along the Mexican coast, plus bridge instruction and duplicate bridge games. She writes, “Who remembers our bridge games in the ‘smokers’ at Clark and Carpenter?”
