The Lasell men’s basketball team broke records and dominated the glass in the 2021–2022 season.

Kevin Vanderhorst ’21 G’22, EJ Day ’22 (pictured above), and Kevin Nunez ’22 all scored their 1,000th career points. Vanderhorst also secured his place in the Lasers’ record book, pulling down a
program-best 27 rebounds in a 78–48 triumph over Colby-Sawyer in the Athletic Center in January.

“All three of these players embody what it means to be a student-athlete at the highest level,” said Head Coach Aaron Galletta. “To have three 1,000-point scorers in one season is rare, and it speaks to
their leadership and commitment to the team and to Lasell.”

Galletta notched his 200th career win during a 65–55 triumph against Regis in February. The head coach has a 150–101 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) record, 30 all-conference player selections, and has taken the team to nine semifinals, two finals, and a GNAC championship during his tenure.
