Preschool One
Preschool One is designed to provide a strong foundation for academic success. Our curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning and exploration through literacy, math, and STEM activities. In literacy, children will develop essential pre-writing skills, learn uppercase letter formation, and begin to write their names. Reading comprehension skills will also be introduced. To support mathematical understanding, children will practice counting, number recognition, sorting, and comparing quantities. Shape identification and basic problem-solving skills will be integrated into daily activities.
To foster curiosity and critical thinking, our STEM curriculum offers a variety of engaging experiences. Sensory play, baking, and science experiments will stimulate young minds. Children will also learn about cause and effect relationships, make inferences, and follow instructions through building activities. This well-rounded approach ensures that our Preschool One students develop a strong academic foundation while having fun and exploring their world.
They may seem to be simply playing, but young children are actually engaged in complex learning experiences. When drawing or painting, they are developing fine motor skills and expressing their emotions. Building with blocks helps them understand shapes and improve their physical coordination. Solving puzzles boosts their confidence and problem-solving abilities. Reading stories introduces them to new words and expands their imagination. Pretend play fosters communication skills and creativity. Even spending time outdoors contributes to their development, as they build strength, courage, and observation skills. All of these playtime activities are done in the Preschool One class.
