Biography:

Kristina Markos has professional experience that spans across the communications spectrum, executing strategic communications plans for various clients. She has worked in major US markets such as Chicago, Miami, New York, and Boston and worked her way up through agency ranks throughout her career. Her industry connections and insight drive her teaching style and encourages students to understand the relevance of their studies.

Kristina comes to Lasell University with prior experience leading and managing programs at other institutions and is skilled at adapting communications curricula and approaches to meet the needs of the modern employment landscape and industry demands. She is a certified career coach through NACE (National Association of Career Education) and has led internship and career development programs for the past 10+ years. Kristina's approach to teaching includes focusing on skills-based learning so students are empowered to find their strengths and apply them to their career paths, with confidence. Kristina aims to provide students with the ability to translate their educational experiences into clear and actionable outcomes.

Outside of Lasell, Kristina is a board member for the PR Club which connects, inspires, educates, and honors New England professionals at every career level. As a board member, Kristina supports experiences, education, and networking opportunities for local, public relations practitioners. Kristina is also a mom to 3 sons who keep her busy, on her toes, and drinking lots of coffee!
