February 09, 2024
On Wednesday, February 7th, U.S. News & World Report named Lasell University’s Master of Science in Criminal Justice program one of its 2024 Best Online Programs.
Coming in at 37th nationally, Lasell’s Master’s in Criminal Justice program is one of a small number of programs that received this annual distinction. According to US News, school performance is ranked based on a variety of factors.
Designed for working professionals looking to enter or advance in this critically important field, Lasell’s degree program provides the skills, knowledge, and practical experience needed by those pledging to “protect and serve the public” while working in a wide range of careers, from cyber criminology and crisis management to homeland security and violence prevention.
Lasell’s program—which is offered 100% online— has been approved for the Police Career Incentive Pay Program (PCIPP) by the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education. Known as the Quinn Bill, PCIPP legislation was enacted to incentivize police officers to continue their education by pursuing a degree in law enforcement or criminal justice.
“Lasell’s Master’s in Criminal Justice program gets high marks from our students as well as from alumni, and the agencies that hire them,” said Linda Bucci, Lasell Professor & Program Chair of Justice Studies and Graduate Chair of Criminal Justice. “The US News & World Report ranking will help us shine a light on this top-tier graduate level program.”
