In 2020, Jacqueline Paulding Hauser will celebrate her 70th reunion with the Lasell Junior College class of 1950. Her days as a student may be long past, but her connection to Lasell remains deeply rooted in her life.

"Lasell prepared me to go out into the world," she says. "I feel so fortunate to have attended."

Hauser studied to be a medical secretary and spent over a decade working for physicians at Lahey Health, Boston Children's Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Though she left the medical field to start a family, she values the work experience she had and the education that led to it.

"That's why I am leaving a portion of my estate to Lasell University in my will," she explains.

Now, Hauser is a Certified Floral Designer and master judge for flower shows. Her connection to the world of flowers is yet another way that she has contributed to the Lasell community - for years, she provided the roses displayed at Commencement. Hauser also served on the Lasell Alumni Board of Management for 25 years (including two years as president), received the Lasell Medallion in 1995, and the Lasell Chair in 2002.

"Lasell will continue to be one of my special philanthropic concerns for years to come," she says. "I know that my gift will support students long into the future."
