Whether on the ice, in the Athletic Center, or on a screen, students have found a revitalized outlet for intramural and recreational activities at Lasell University under the leadership of Benjamin Lane '19. Lane was hired as a graduate assistant to coordinate and foster intramural sports while pursuing his MBA.
Under Lane's leadership, more than 100 students participated last fall in game nights, three-on-three basketball, flag football, dodgeball, and futsal.
Athletic director Kristy Walter says, "This is the largest number of students that we have ever had participating in intramural/recreational sports at Lasell."
The early spring semester added eSports, pond hockey (pictured above with student Gordon Shmalz '23), ping pong, billiards, corn hole, and more to the growing list of activities.
"It is exciting to see so many students meet new people, express their competitiveness, and explore fun and healthy ways to stay active," says Walter.
Lasell intramural activities are open to all students with no required practices - a simple sign-up gets you on the roster.
