Graduate Admission Requirements

All programs require the following:
- Complete Online Application
- A one-page personal statement describing your goals, strengths, and potential for achievement in graduate school
- Official transcripts of all college-level coursework (unofficial can be used in the decision-making process)
- Resume

Application Review Process and Matriculating to Your Program
Application for admission will be promptly reviewed by the Graduate Admission Committee and candidates will be notified of a decision within 72 hours.
In order to matriculate, admitted students are instructed to place a non-refundable deposit reserving their place in class. Domestic students are required to deposit $125 and international students are required to deposit $450 to cover the cost of issuing an I-20. Once the deposit is received, students will work with their Enrollment Counselor to register for class(es).
Non-Matriculating Students
Interested students are allowed to take a maximum of 9 credits as non-matriculated.
Transfer Credit Policy
Master's degree candidates for most programs are eligible to receive a maximum of 6 credits of relevant graduate-level coursework taken at an accredited institution.
Master of Science in Athletic Training degree candidates are not eligible to transfer credits, and in compliance with Quinn Bill approval, Master of Science in Criminal Justice students are eligible to receive up to 6 transfer credits.
Transfer credit may be awarded and applied toward degree requirements under the following conditions:
- A grade of B or better has been earned
- Coursework fulfills degree requirements
- Coursework taken prior to enrollment at Lasell was completed within the past seven years at the time of enrollment
Current students who wish to take graduate courses at another institution and transfer the courses into Lasell must request approval from their Advisor before registering for the course(s) and complete the Transfer Credit Approval Form. Students are required to obtain all necessary approvals before enrolling in the course(s).
Grades for courses taken at another institution are not calculated into a student's grade point average.
