Lasell University — DCF Partnership
Lasell Partnership with MA Department of Children and Families
Graduating high school seniors who fall under the care of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) will benefit from this first-of-its-kind private college partnership. Lasell University and DCF have teamed up to provide students from Massachusetts DCF foster care access to a four-year Lasell University degree.
Affordability/Cost
Lasell University is committed to assist funding eligible DCF students. The partnership between Lasell University and DCF is for students who remain in state care between the ages of 18 and 22, and can access state grants, vouchers, and stipends to contribute to their remaining college costs.
DCF provides housing support for youth who remain in voluntary placement after age 18 which may assist in the cost of housing at Lasell. Resident students will also have access to year-round on-campus housing. Lasell's 2023-2024 tuition, room and board = $39,500. Costs that exceed the Lasell University contribution and all other assistance may be funded via federal student loans.
