The Finance major will prepare you for a successful careers in the dynamic finance industry. Be prepared to work in private, public, or nonprofit organizations such as commercial banking, financial planning, investment banking, money managing, insurance and real estate.
You'll learn to analyze financial data, value financial and real assets, and provide financial advice to individuals and companies making decisions about allocating their resources.
With a degree in finance will be prepared to gain industry certifications such as the CFA (Certified Financial Analyst), CFP (Certified Financial Planner), CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant), and Series 6, 63, and 7 broker licenses.
The program offers finance tracks in Corporate Finance and Personal Finance.
The Finance degree program has earned ACBSP accreditation for student-driven research and excellence in teaching.
Personal Finance students can prepare for the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) exam by completing a seven-course CFP Certificate program. This coursework is embedded into the curriculum, and has been developed in collaboration with other colleges to provide a strong foundation in all aspects of financial literacy, planning, security, and management. The courses are registered under the CFP Board of Standards and are offered in a convenient online format.
Take advantage of various project-focused service-learning opportunities. Students are highly encouraged to take a Service Learning course such as SVL108, Tax Volunteer.
The Internship program provides a capstone work experience for all Finance students during their senior year.
The School of Business provides students various opportunities to meet and network with industry professionals, including our annual School of Business Day. This all-day event is centered around Business education, networking opportunities, and career development.

DECA prepares emerging leaders for successful careers in industries including fashion, business, hospitality, and communications. Create programs and participate in regional and national DECA collegiate events and competitions.
Prepare for the CFP Exam with a seven-course sequence of online classes designed to meet the requirements of the CFP®️ Board of Standards. Students who complete the educational requirements are eligible to sit for the CFP Examination and are prepared for direct employment in financial services. Each course is offered asynchronously online over an eight-week accelerated class schedule.
The 6th annual School of Business Day highlighted the challenges and opportunities of using Artificial Intelligence in a variety of business sectors. Speakers included executives from the Boston Red Sox.
