2022 Fall Semester - New Course Offerings
August 10, 2022
This fall, Lasell will offer its undergraduate students 14 new and experimental courses.
New courses include those in mathematics, “Mathematics of Design” and “Mathematical Content Knowledge for Ed,” as well as offerings in photography, digital analysis, music, and Spanish. A new interdisciplinary course, “Global Engagement Through Sport, Health, and Fitness,” was designed for “students, as citizens of the world, to understand the impact of sport, health, and fitness in a global community.” Students will immerse themselves in the history of Northern Ireland before traveling to the country for a true connected learning experience.
“Designing your Life and Career” will allow students to utilize design thinking and rapid prototyping methods to help test the outcomes of life decisions such as choosing their major or honing their job search.
Lasell requires all first-year students to participate in a first-year seminar (FYS) course, offered in various sections this fall. Topics include “Emerging Leaders, Latin American Food & Traditions,” “Life Skills and Video Games,” “Beyond the Binary,” and “(Anti)Social Media & You,” among others.
