CBS Boston’s Levan Reid Explores Lasell University's New AR/VR Lab

February 19, 2025

Before dawn, CBS Boston’s Levan Reid visited Lasell University’s new Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) Lab, showcasing the groundbreaking ways the university is preparing students for the future.

During his visit, Reid spoke with President Eric Turner, Professor Hailey Garrison, and Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management Chris Gray about how this technology will directly impact Lasell students.

Levan also had the opportunity to hear firsthand from students Jayda Torres, a Forensic Science major, and Reana Duran, an Exercise Science major, about how the AR/VR Lab will enhance their learning experiences once this technology is implemented into the curriculum this Fall.

Lasell’s new AR/VR Lab represents a major leap forward in experiential learning, offering students across majors the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technology that enhances hands-on training and real-world preparation. The facility provides access to state-of-the-art virtual environments, allowing students to simulate real-world scenarios in fields such as forensic science, healthcare, fashion and beyond.
