On Wednesday April 10th, President Eric M. Turner announced that Massachusetts State Treasurer and Receiver General, Deborah B. Goldberg, will deliver the keynote address at Lasell University’s 170th undergraduate commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 11.

Since she was first elected in 2015, Treasurer Goldberg has been a tireless advocate for equity and opportunity and is widely recognized for innovative leadership, disciplined fiscal management, and a commitment to economic stability.

In her role as Treasurer, Deb Goldberg does much more than focus on economic trends and theories. In every decision she makes, and with every initiative she develops, she carefully considers the impact that the state’s policies will have on those who live and work across the Commonwealth. She never forgets the people she serves.

Prior to assuming her leadership position in state government, Treasurer Goldberg was a business executive serving in various roles at The Stop & Shop Companies. In addition, she served as a member of the Brookline Board of Selectman for six years, including two as its chair.
