GPS Spotlight: MBA in Product Management for Footwear and Apparel
February 11, 2022
Lasell University’s division of Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS) now offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in product management for footwear and apparel. The program’s fashion focus was created for professionals in product development, distribution, design, engineering, manufacturing, and more.
The MBA program is delivered in a highly interactive format to connect practical and field experience in the fashion industry with lessons learned in class. On top of that, students partake in a capstone course that includes an internship with one of Lasell’s industry partners, overseen by an employee at the partner organization.
“There is growing demand for professionals in this industry who can make informed decisions on all aspects of the product lifecycle,” says Anne Trevenen, associate professor of fashion and program director. “The coursework in this program is strategically designed to equip students for management roles with a qualified understanding of fashion, footwear, and apparel.”
Students will take courses in managerial economics, strategic information management, fashion ethics, and in-depth footwear and apparel production practices and more over a span of 42 credits. The program is offered in both fully online and hybrid formats, and can be completed in as few as 16 months.
