Jalynn Hilton '23, who graduated from Lasell University this past December, has secured her dream role. The New York City native has joined the ABC News Specialized Units as an intern at the network’s headquarters in New York City.

Jalynn majored in Communication with a minor in Video Production. Despite a heavy course load, internships, and her job as a Resident Assistant (RA) she graduated a semester early. She also helped launch the Black Student Association which promotes unity among Black students and allies through social and cultural events.

Jalynn secured her first internship at NewTV – Newton’s local cable access channel - with a recommendation from Professor Meryl Perlson.

Based on her studies at Lasell and the experience gained at NewTV, Jalynn secured an internship at Boston news station WCVB-TV, where she worked with reporters and anchors while also creating website content to enhance the program’s online presence.
