Lasell Celebrates Juneteenth

Juneteenth means many things; it is a commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States. It is a time to celebrate the joy that comes with freedom. It is also a time to remember all of the Black lives lost prior to emancipation, and those lost in the years following. It is a time to be inspired to live up to our nation's promise of equality, liberty, and justice for all. Today, we hope members of our community take the time to reflect on the past, honor our country's African-American roots, and protect that culture's future.
