Run for Haiti
October 08, 2021
Geralson Withrow '21, a graphic design major and book award recipient, created a virtual 5K to benefit his homeland of Haiti.
The virtual 5K will take place throughout the month of October. All proceeds from the race will support the non-profit Haitian Health Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children, women, and families in Haiti. Withrow lived in Haiti until age 12, at which time he was adopted by a family in the U.S.
"This kind of project is exactly what we would expect of Geralson, a committed and diligent student who is always looking for ways to make the world a better place," said Ken Calhoun, associate professor and chair of graphic design.
"This is a project for which he has combined his three great passions: design, running, and Haiti."
