Developing Writing Confidence

The Writing Process is a proven method that empowers writers to organize their ideas effectively, resulting in well-structured and formal writing. Beyond simply enhancing writing skills, this workshop focuses on developing students' confidence in their writing abilities. It encourages students to channel their time and effort into improving their writing rather than feeling overwhelmed or delivering work that does not truly reflect their talents and ideas.

Throughout this course, Matt will introduce and explain the Writing Process clearly and concisely, guiding students through a formal writing assignment. Each process stage will build upon previous knowledge, ensuring a stepwise and efficient learning journey. By the end of the workshop, students will have honed their writing skills, created a thoughtful and well-constructed writing piece, and discovered how to communicate their ideas effectively. The newfound communicative confidence gained during this workshop will stay with them throughout their lives.

This course is suitable for students of all ages and abilities, and it has provided valuable support to many students when tackling college applications and college-level assignments, including research papers.
