Nora Ortegas Testimonial

Nora Ortegas is a Double Laser graduate student at Lasell University. She completed her undergrad with a BA in Communication with a concentration in Creative Advertising and a minor in Marketing, and then she pursued her Master’s in Integrated Marketing Communication.

Recently, Nora took on a new role as Social Media Marketing Manager for INSA Cannabis. Her responsibilities range from creating digital promotional content, monitoring all social media platforms, working with the marketing team to strategize new ideas and campaigns, and creating a content calendar to schedule posts in advance.

She chose Lasell to fulfill her master’s degree because the online option is very accommodating. Lasell Alum gets a discount which makes the tuition even more affordable. She gives praise to her advisor, Cyntoya Simmons, “She has been a pleasure to work with. She has kept me updated as far as what classes I have remaining to graduate.”

One professor that has made the biggest impact on Nora is Dr. Luis Lopez-Preciado. He inspired her to pursue her Master’s and become a professor. She found her passion for advertising and marketing during her time at Lasell and hopes to one day shape the minds of students and help them find the same or similar interests in the field.

Some advice that Nora would give new students is that, “It isn’t as scary as it seems. Lasell does a great job helping you through the transitional process from undergrad to grad school. There are so many different start dates throughout the semester so you can start whenever it is convenient for you- which is awesome! The program is very accommodating to your needs and busy life schedule.”
