Patrick Sullivan Testimonial
Patrick Sullivan is a Double Laser graduate student from Lasell University. Originally from South Portland, Maine, he earned his BS in Sports Management in 2020 and MS in Management in 2021. Patrick started working for the Maine Mariners, as an account executive in 2021. His responsibilities include new business development, group sales, corporate, season ticket holders, meeting executives face to face, and taking clients to games. He found the job through Teamwork Online which many Lasell students use to locate jobs and careers in the sports industry.
One of the biggest reasons Patrick chose Lasell to earn his master's is because he felt his time here wasn't done yet. COVID forced him to take his remaining spring semester online. In addition, Lasell offers a discount for alumni which made tuition more affordable. "Lasell has been very helpful when I was getting my Master's." Patrick mentions that he found challenging to make the transition from UG to grad school and with the help of his advisor and being more proactive, he was able to acclimate. Our professors at Lasell make strong lasting relations with our students.
Patrick said that one of his notable professors is Dr. Perry who taught his MGMT728 class. When he took his graduate class during his undergrad spring semester, Dr. Perry made the transition easier. She even reached out to Patrick recently to see how things are going.
The advice Patrick has for new grad students is to take what you learned in your master's program and apply it in the real world. Managing your time outside of coursework help to make time to do your master's assignments.
