Event Management Minor
The Event Management minor consists of six courses. The program is designed to provide students with basic working knowledge of event planning and management across many industries. Through a multidisciplinary approach, students minoring in Event Management gain the expertise, commitment, and skills for positions in their respective fields that require any type of event planning, production, or management.
Students will gain a comprehensive background in the business and events world including corporate, social, non-profit, sporting, fashion, and entertainment events, inclusive of the private and public sectors. They learn about the inner workings of the events industry from lessons on food and beverage, legal and ethical issues, and facility operations down to individual segments of the industry. Throughout the core of their coursework, students learn about service quality and the operations of diverse organizations.
