FASH420: Vintage Fashion Advertisements and the Lasell Fashion Collection
By: Lillian Baker, Fashion and Retail Merchadising '19
This project demonstrates a correlation between the LFC's Vintage Catalogue of Fashion Advertising and specific pieces in the collection. The advertisments date from the 1920s-1940s, and feature many looks that portray different trends. Through these images, one can observe connections between print materials and everyday dress, as consumerism advanced the fashion industry.
