This unique piece is sewn entirely by hand and may have been part of a coat. Often fur designs from this era included various parts of the animal, which in this case features a series of tails attached at the center front with fabric cording.
This coat consists of an artistic mix of texture with a natural color palette. The trench coat style is further enhanced by metal turn locks and a soft belted waist. During this period fashion was impacted by social shifts that encouraged creative uses of fur mixtures.
