International Admission Process
An international student is someone who is either a citizen or permanent resident of a country other than the United States, and who is looking to further their education in the U.S.

For your application to be considered complete and ready for review, you must also submit the following items:
- Official secondary school transcripts or marksheets for schools attended (college/university, gymnasium, and lycee); transcripts should be translated into English. Transcripts should include senior year first-quarter grades and mid-term grades when available.
- Students attending accredited (CIS, IB, WASC, Cognia, etc.) English-medium international schools outside of the USA do not need to submit a transcript evaluation.
- Students from non-English medium institutions are welcome, but not required, to submit transcript evaluations from SpanTran, WES, or other providers. If the admission office has any questions regarding documents, translation, or equivalency, we will notify the applicant and suggest they submit their documents for evaluation.

Personal statement or essay (250 word minimum on a topic of your choice)
- Declaration of Finance Form and Sponsor Letter must be submitted by international students who are currently residing outside of the U.S.
- An official bank statement or letter is required in addition to the Declaration of Finance Form.

TOEFL, IELTS, Pearson, or Duolingo English Test
- Scores should be sent directly to Lasell University by the testing service.
- Minimum for ESL Supplement Program: 54iBT, 5.0 Band IELTS, 40 PTE Score, or 90 Duolingo English Test Score
- Minimum for no ESL Supplement Program: 71iBT, 5.5 Band IELTS, 48 PTE Score, or 100 Duolingo English Test Score
- Please note: Lasell University has partnered with ESL schools to offer applicants conditional admission, as well as, the option to waive the IELTS or TOEFL in lieu of successfully completing a specified level at one of the partner ESL schools. - SAT/ACT scores (optional) Lasell University has a Test-Optional Policy. If you believe your standardized tests support your candidacy, you are encouraged to submit your scores (CEEB code: 3481).
Transfer International Students
- If you are a transfer student, please submit the items listed above as well as:
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended; transcripts should be translated into English. Transcripts should include first-quarter grades and mid-term grades when available, in addition to any credits earned previously.
- A copy of your current I-20 Form (if you are already in the United States)
- Transfer students coming from higher education institutions outside of the USA that are not US accredited are also welcomed to submit transcript evaluations from ScanTran, WES, or other providers to better facilitate the application process. If the admission office has any questions regarding documents, translation, or equivalency, we will notify the applicant and suggest they submit their documents for evaluation.
