Lasell requires freshman students to submit their high school transcript, 1st quarter senior year grades (if applying Regular Decision), an essay, and one letter of recommendation. Students can complete use either the Common Application or Lasell's online application. Lasell does not require applicants to submit test results for admission to undergraduate programs. If you believe the results from the SAT or ACT support your candidacy for admission, we encourage you to submit them.
Lasell University offers both Early Action (non-binding) and Regular Decision options. Early Action candidates for the Fall semester must submit all application materials by November 15. The Office of Undergraduate Admission begins informing Early Action candidates of decisions on December 1.
Regular Admission candidates for the Fall and Spring semester are reviewed on a rolling basis. The Office of Undergraduate Admission begins informing Regular Admission candidates of decisions December 15 (for the Fall entry term) and September 15 (for the Spring entry term).Therefore, students are encouraged to complete their applications as soon as possible.
Lasell's Priority deadline for scholarship consideration is March 15.
Lasell accepts applications from transfer students for the fall (September) and spring (January) semesters. Whether you have completed only a couple college credits or a few semesters worth, we make it easy. Read about the application process for transfer students on our Transfer Admission page.

Yes. Although Lasell's varsity coaches do recruit, some of the students that play sports at Lasell try out for our athletic teams after they enroll.
Yes, there are several non-intercollegiate sports opportunities available at Lasell, including basketball, hockey, soccer, running, volleyball, and dodge ball to name a few. Additionally, Lasell has crew, cheer, and rugby at the club level.

Lasell offers a wide variety of housing options in our 27 different residence halls - a student could live in a different style each year at Lasell! Of course! While Lasell University is primarily comprised of residential students, we do have a good population of students that choose to commute to campus. Yes - Lasell University is located on the Green Line of the "T" (Boston's subway system) and the Riverside stop is part of our campus shuttle's route.
Newton is designated as a "Best Place to Live" by Money Magazine and a "Best College Town" by Business Insider. Depending on your interests, you can enjoy the city of Boston or enjoy the comforts of a suburban city. There are great restaurants, cultural activities, 5 major professional sports teams (the Boston Red Sox, The Boston Bruins, The Boston Celtics, The New England Patriots, and the New England Revolution), beaches, the Charles River (for kayaking and rowing), museums, and everything a student could want when they need a break from studying. Moody Street in Waltham has great restaurants and a movie theater. Boca Bella, just off campus, has great sandwiches. Grab tickets from Student Activities and go to a Red Sox, Bruins or Celtics game.
