Admissions

Bryanna Ducey '27

Minor: Child and Adolescent Studies

I really love the small community we have here. I also love the location. I like being right outside of Boston so I can travel whenever I want. When I visited the campus, I just fell in love.

What was the “thing” that made you know that Lasell was right for you?

I chose to come to Lasell because I live about 40 minutes away. I didn't want to go too far from home. I also really love the small community here and I love the location. I like being right outside of Boston so I can travel whenever I want. When I visited the campus, I fell in love.

What clubs, athletics, organizations have you been involved in at Lasell?

I am a Blue Key Society ambassador. I work with Undergraduate Admission to give tours and help with office work.

I'm also a peer team member for Project Laser, which is Lasell's sexual abuse, sexual respect, and Title IX advocacy work. And I'm in the Honors program which is a fun program. I get a lot of opportunities doing that like taking different types of classes which broadens your experiences on campus. This past semester, I took part in the Clothesline Project which is an on-campus domestic violence awareness program.

Is someone on campus that's influenced you?

Hayley Sherman - she's the director of Project Laser, who's also my Honors 205: Understanding Healthy Relationships professor. She introduced me to Title IX and I've really found a love for learning more about it. I’d really like to be a victim advocate in the future.

What do you like most about the Lasell community?

We're close knit and everyone knows everybody. We're a smaller school so it's really easy to network with professors and other peers. Every student does at least one internship so it's really valuable to be connected with my professors and get more exposure into the fields I’m interested in.
