What clubs, athletics, organizations have you been involved in at Lasell?
I am currently a Blue Key Society Ambassador, a Resident's Assistant, and a member of the Creative Writing Club. I also worked as an event staff member in the Athletics department.
What was the "thing" that made you know that Lasell was right for you?
After visiting for Accepted Students Day, I knew Lasell was right for me. I knew I would thrive here because of the strong sense of community. I felt like I wasn’t just a number, and I was genuinely cared for. I knew I could succeed academically here because of the small class sizes.
What is one experience you’ve had within the classroom that you were instantly able to apply to your life/career/internships?
A class that I learned a lot from was Writing for the Media with Joni Siani. One of our assignments was to write an advertisement and a press release about a fictional product we had created. This assignment challenged me to think outside the box and taught me how to write a proper press release and advertisement script. After graduating, I want to work in marketing or public relations. I can apply what I learned from this assignment to my future work.
How has the academic program you chose at Lasell positively influencing your career/life?
The Communication program at Lasell gave me a new found confidence and enthusiasm for my future career. I came into college undecided about my future career. After taking a few exploratory courses, I declared a major in Communication. The Communication program at Lasell has given me hands-on experience that I can bring to my first job. Lasell gives me the confidence to succeed and excites me about my future career.
