Why did you choose Lasell?

I knew Lasell was right for me because of the community. I like the small class sizes. It has allowed me to personally connect with my professors over my four years here. I knew this was the school for me right when I started because I knew this was a community that I was going to connect with.

What have you enjoyed about your Forensic Science major?

The Forensic Science program has provided me with so much knowledge. I feel confident about getting a job once I graduate. I’m able to get great hands-on experience with so much equipment here.

The professors were incredibly helpful when I was looking for an internship. The Center for Career Readiness helped me write my résumé.

Have you done any internships?

I was a process chemistry intern at Blueprint Medicines. I got lots of hands on experience testing the purity of certain reactions.

What clubs and organizations are you involved in at Lasell?

I’m a Blue Key Society Ambassador where I work in the admission office giving tours to prospective students. I’m also the secretary of the Forensic Science Association where we have events with other Forensic Science students and our professors.

What’s one thing you’ve learned outside of the classroom?

Lasell has done an exceptional job of preparing me for a job in the sciences, but the one thing that I'll really take away from here is communication. Through all of my roles on campus, I’ve been able to find my voice. I speak up and join discussions and try to make a difference.
