Presentation & Exhibit, WGBH, February 23, 2012
In celebration of the success of Downton Abbey, Lasell College's Fashion Department was asked to create a brief history of dress between 1900-1920, as well as an exhibit of fashion from the Downton Abby time period. As a result, an installation was created which profiled three female characters, Violet, Cora and Mary, and included both dress and accessories from the early part of the 20th century. This was a collaboration between Arnow Professor Jill Carey, former Fashion Department Chair Lynn Blake, and research student assistant, Bryana Prout, 2012. All items featured in this exhibition were from the Lasell Fashion Collection. Approximately 500 people attended the presentation given by Jill Carey.
